Established in 1991, Staveley Head has grown beyond all recognition to become one of the most respected providers of specialist insurance products.
Proud to remain a family owned and operated business, Staveley Head continues to grow in size and stature despite the constraints of a difficult economic market.
1991
Company established, providing car and home insurance to the local region.
1993
Incorporated as a limited company.
1994
Began expansion into national market with specialist car insurance schemes.
1995
Moved to larger premises, employing 8 members of staff.
1997
Entered the van insurance market, now employing 15 members of staff.
1998
First major investment in new software system.
1999
Secured first schemes for HGV and courier insurance.
2000
First corporate website launched, and software system upgraded.
2003
Became one of the UK's first insurance brokers to operate an in-house direct debit facility.
2005
CourierPlan, a facility for other brokers to place niche insurance business, was launched.
2006
Completed purchase of current premises and commenced extensive renovations.
2007
Moved to new premises, employing 33 people. CourierPlan was rebranded as PolicyPlan to facilitate an expanding product range.
2008
Dedicated training and web development teams were created. Achieved affiliation with Auto Trader to provide truck, motorhome and caravan insurance.
2009
Staff numbers increased to over 50 and dedicated taxi, chauffeur and motor trade insurance departments created.
2010
Dedicated marketing department created.
