Take part in Trucker of the Year 2017 here
Inspired by September’s Truck Driver Appreciation Week in the US, we thought it was about time our UK truckers were celebrated too. That’s why throughout October we have been searching for the UK’s ‘Trucker Of The Year’.
Working with Trucking Magazine and Transport Cafe to award worthy truckers with weekly prizes, we asked for your help. And you delivered; helping us spread the word on Facebook and Twitter. Throughout the month, we received some fantastic nominations. Here’s our round up of the best entries!

Inspiring stories
Some of the nominations we received were truly inspiring, bringing to life just how often truck drivers do more than just their day job.
Nick Revitt, one of our weekly winners, was nominated by Kaz Meakin:
Kaz added a further comment: “There is so much more to this story it is brilliant, we ended up with a convoy following her and 2 of her best friends went in other trucks but if it wasn’t for nick she wouldn’t have gone to the prom he made her feel so special just for one day out of the 2 bad years and we managed to raise awareness for and depression. Thank you for listening to our story.”

Throughout the weeks we have received over 100 nominations. It was so difficult to choose just 12 to be announced as our weekly winners.

This competition has done so much more than we initially thought it would. Not only have we found some of the UK’s most excellent truckers, but we’ve also discovered that for many it is more than just a job. And it was fantastic to have such a wonderful reaction from the winners.
