[+] I just need to drive several cars - is a garage policy what I need?

Garage insurance is not a workaround to get cover on multiple vehicles.

To qualify you must be able to prove that you are operating a genuine business, whether that's buying and selling used cars, performing a mobile repair service etc.

In the event that you need to claim under your policy, you will be expected to provide evidence of this in the form of audited accounts, receipts etc.

[+] Do I need to tell you each time I acquire a vehicle?

Current legislation means that you need to keep the Motor Insurers' Database up to date with regard to vehicles you own, or are likely to be in your custody for a certain length of time.

Our motor trade team will be able to advise you in this respect, and we do have a range of publications available to provide more help regarding the MID and your responsibilities.

[+] Can I cover motorcycles under a garage policy?

We would be happy to arrange cover for motorcycles provided that we are aware from the outset of the likelihood of motorcycles forming part of your stock.

[+] Can I pay monthly for my policy?

All of our insurance policies are available with a monthly instalment option.

A small administration charge will apply, and we insist on payment being made by direct debit.

Absolutely not. Our specialist garage insurance team is located in the UK and we have no plans to create an offshore call centre.
