Couriers may face congestion charge in Midlands
Courier News: 07/05/08
Six councils in the East Midlands recently completed a study to assess the best way to deal with severe traffic congestion in the future, one of the recommendations suggested in the study is congestion charging in major cities.
Commercial vehicle drivers such as Couriers are likely to be the hardest hit by such measures. It is likely that congestion charging would be implemented in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham and would bring in some £139 million per annum.
