Points to consider when buying your Coach Insurance

In this current economic climate its refreshing to learn that its actually a buyers market in terms of arranging your Coach/Bus Insurance needs.With FSA guidelines and tighter checks on non-compliant brokers, its never been easier to see exactly whats available for your business needs and see where you as the buyer can save money.
Remember, as the buyer its down to you who you choose to hand your money over to and its in your best interest to ask of the Broker for how they think they can assist you and if they can save you money. Although recommendations cannot be given options can The Broker is there to assist you and at the end of the day, they should fight for your business.
Various points to think about before making that all important call or completing the webquote are:
- WHO IS GOING TO DRIVE? If its only you, choose Insured Only (you can always add additional drivers at a later date and this can save you up to 15% off the total annual premium with some Insurers. Points to consider also are: the age of the drivers and length of experience.
- IF YOU HAVE NO NO CLAIMS DISCOUNT AVAILABLE! How can you sell yourself as a competent Coach Operator /Driver? Can evidence be provided from your past employer /Insurer or do you have Insurance on a similar vehicle (Coach /Minibus /Commercial Vehicle) elsewhere. Always declare these points – they can only help!
- EXCESS LEVELS! How much do you deem is reasonable to pay on a claim if its your fault! Raising this initial excess payment will lower your overall annual premium.
- GREENCARD USE. If you only usually operate on the continent sporadically, it may be cheaper to get cover on an ad-hoc basis as and when required as oppose to an annual Greencard.
