Staveley Head Ltd the Taxi Broker not only offer great value and cheap taxi insurance products to all our customers but also keep drivers ahead of the game with any information that can affect a Taxi Drivers income.
Derby City Council have angered most taxi drivers offering bus services for party-goers into the town of Derby a ‘cheaper’ alternative mode of transport by giving tickets away at as low as £1 to late night revellers.
Arriva are planning to start doing late-night services to try to steal back business from Black Cab drivers and are also advertising for the ‘TOWN FOR A £1” promotion in all their buses.
The Taxi Broker who specialise in providing competitive taxi insurance quotes has discovered that a petition has been organised and over 300 names have been collected and taken to the council in response of this threat to their livelihood.
Also to make matter worse Arriva have also tried to introduce a new late nigh weekend buses in order to tempt late night drinkers the chance of a ride home. We at Staveley Head Ltd are all in favour of the getting the customer home service but surely the bus companies obtain enough custom throughout the day and feel that they are trying to monopolise the town as a whole with these new services.
A spokes person for the council which issues licence to the city’s 379 Hackney cars said in order to offer a price promotion the city’s drivers needed to write to the council to obtain permission where they would be subsidized the difference in fair by the council.
Staveley Head Ltd The taxi broker are keen to promote taxi drivers and feel that keeping the drivers informed of any special incentives or schemes we offer for competitive taxi insurance to try to keep the costs down for our customers.
