BMW Motorrad celebrates 30 years

Therefore, the news of BMW Motorrad launching four limited edition motorbikes to pay tribute to the outstanding popularity of the GS concept is quite exciting news.

“Until fairly recently, BMW’s GS range of motorcycles was considered a rather niche proposition, used mainly by globetrotters and desert racers. However, the legendary GS has now firmly entered the mainstream, buoyed by a realisation that the unique blend of on and off-road capabilities, combined with the GS range’s touring credentials, make for the perfect all-round motorcycle.”
The limited edition motorbikes will sport the eighties retro colours of the legendry R 80 G/S Rally Raiders, the bike that Hubert Auriol rode to victory in the eighties during the Paris-Dakar races. Alongside the retro colour scheme each “30 Years GS” model will have a whole host of additional features and equipment. The R 1200 GS, R1200 GS Adventurer, the F800 GS and the F650 will have special features such as aluminium guards, GS stamps, tinted windshields and white direction indicators- to name a few!
