Car parks on comedians foot in Cape Town

With England warming up to take on Algeria this evening, one member of the England supporters Band is determined to be there even if he has to turn up in a wheelchair due to a car parking on his foot!
Veteran comedian Bernie Clifton who is on tour with the England supporters’ band in South Africa during the World Cup, was treated for heavy bruising to his foot in a Cape Town hospital after the accident occurred.

Clifton said he was minding his own business when a Chrysler Voyager parked on his foot pinning him to the ground. Screaming blue murder and banging on the roof of the vehicle, Mr Clifton said the driver claimed not to of seen him even though he is 6ft tall and was wearing a white T-shirt.
Showing true patriotic colors the determined comedian added:
“I'll be at the game even if I'm in a wheelchair. To be honest, the band can't do without me:”
Based in Wales, Staveley Head will be showing their support for England as they cannot back Wales in the 2010 World Cup as unfortunately they have not qualified for a World Cup tournament since 1958.
