Staveley Head one of the UK’s leading minibus insurance brokers welcomes news of the launch of a minibus in rural Wales.
The minibus service is for people who don’t have access to their own transport and are unable to make use of public transport due to an illness or disability. The minibus which was launched earlier on in the month will provide a vital link for those living in rural areas of the Vale of Glamorgan and Dinas Powys in South Wales. It is hoped the minibus will also be able to offer its services for group outings and to assist community organisations such as charities.
Funded by the Rural Development Plan for Wales which is supported by The Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the Greenlinks community minibus is based on the dial-a-ride model which is already successfully operational throughout the country.
With room for 13 passengers and also wheelchair access the launch of the minibus scheme is bound to be welcomed by the people living within the rural areas who do struggle to get out and about. Those wishing to make use of the Greenlinks minibus service must called to book.
