Land Rover Halewood set to create new jobs

Reported in the press today is the news that one thousand new jobs could be created at Jaguar Land Rovers Halewood plant on Merseyside.
Thursday marked the 40th anniversary of Range Rover and a celebration party in London was the perfect setting for the announcement. The event also played host to the unveiling of the Evoque which the firm claims will be the greenest Range Rover yet.
Speaking on Thursday night, Phil Popham Land Rover’s managing director said:
“Today is a very special occasion for Range Rover - not only are we celebrating 40 years of the brand, we are also demonstrating our exciting future by showing the all-new Range Rover.”
Not only is the Evoque being billed by Ranger Rover as its “greenest” ever model, it is also having a bit of celebrity sparkle added to it as Victoria Beckham has been appointed as Range Rovers creative design executive.
Beckham who is said to be thrilled to be part of the team has called the sleek vehicle “absolutely stunning” and is excited at the opportunity she has been given.
