- Haulage Insurance – often unsuitable for the small van insurance but may be required for the larger commercial vehicle.

This is a problem that we have encountered on many an occasion, and we have solved it! Staveley Head recognise that a competent driver should not be penalised for the absence of earned No Claims Discount entitlement on any of their van insurance policies. If you have good driving experience then we will give a large introductory no claims discount to bring the van insurance price into line. Typical examples are:
- Mirror No Claims Discount – if you have another policy earning no claims discount then we will allow the equivalent discount. This can be from a car insurance policy, van insurance policy, courier insurance policy and occasionally a motorbike insurance policy.
- Company Driving Discount – if you have been driving a similar type vehicle for business use then we will gladly give your claim free years as an introductory discount.
- Spouse No Claims Discount – if you have previously only had one vehicle in the household and the policyholder is your partner then we will give up to 70% introductory No Claims Discount for your new policy.

Will I have to pay an excess for any Van Insurance claims?
Typically the answer is yes, except for third party damage. The levels of cover, benefits and excesses will all be displayed on the online van insurance quote and also be told by our account handlers if you obtain your van insurance by phone.
